Time for a proper update!

Movies I saw:
Madagascar- Fun, knew exactly what I wanted from it, characters were enjoyable, and made great use of stretchy animation. Also a lot of really goofy jokes that tickled my funny bone, not to mention some good play-on-words. "Hoover Damn!" "Darn you all to heck!" And I loved the King.

Star Trek- SPOOOOCK!!! F#@king awesome movie. I enjoyed every single minute of it, my only complaint was that it didn't give all the characters all the screen time I wanted. And I will admit, JJ Aberams, director of Cloverfield, does do a good job if he keeps the damn camera still! Now I am watching all the original series episodes.

Casablanca- A classic for a reason.

Day the Earth Stood Still- Damnit Keanu Reevs! The movie isn't so much bad as it is full of cool ideas that weren't invested in to make more room for head shots of Keanu Reevs. The organic space suit was cool, the robot wasn't half bad, and they did bring up some interesting ideas about how we would react if aliens came to Earth. But NOO, they were dropped for more shots of Keanu!

I've been catching up on Star Trek, the original series, it's so campy but it's fun to watch! I'm acctually supprised by how... un-bad it is! It thought it would be much worse. Speaking of shows, do you guys and gals in Europe have COPS? I can't seem to get enough cop shows recently.

School is almost out for me, just two more weeks and I'll graduate from El Paso High School in the Top Ten percent. I got my Year Book, I'm passing all my classes, and I'm already missing a lot of my high school friends... *Gets all teary eyed* Believe it or not, a teacher at my school might be writting a book, and she wants me to illustrate it!:omfg:

I just realized how many pictures I need to finish... Holy crap.

You've only just seen Madagascar? Those penguins are priceless, man!

And I will conceed that the Star Trek was a good movie. It certainly turned out better than the Wolverine movie, which managed to confuse people who don't read the comics and disapoint people who do.

And I'll say this about The Day the Earth Stood Still. For it's couple of shortcomings, it was leauges above the original "classic".

One man alone can be pretty dumb sometimes, but for real bona fide stupidity, there ain't nothin' can beat teamwork.

Glad to hear that you'd like Star Trek. I agree that it was a awesome movie. From the looks of it, Transformers: The Revenge of The Fallen will be just as good.

Hahaha, have fun with the last week or so. I'm almost excited about Star Trek. I prefer the original series over the others...

star trek was uberawesome! the guy who played younger spock couldn't do the live long and prosper with his hands so they had to glue his fingers together lol! i liked how leonard nimoy played older spock :3 i ish a trekki.
and i disagree with bug-off about the day the earth stood still. the classic was the best, no contest man. sure the new one had better graphics but it totally went off the original plot! which was when klaatu shut off all electronic devices except planes inflight, hostpitals and i forgot the last one. but everything electric shut off for an hour. that is why its called the day the earth stood still. DAMN YOU REMAKES!!!! anyway :3

;p I was really ready for the young Spock to be the weak link in the movie (cause of his history in Heros [best actor out of the whole lot, which isn't saying much, that series needs a serious overhaul]), but he does emotionless extremely well, I can see why they picked him :D. I thought the writing was a little loose. Heck my parents were completely lost after they introduced the older Spock. And the plot holes.... They send Spock with the red matter to negate the super nova... and if that had succeeded, they would have a planet orbiting... nothing and it would freeze? Or they never really fully explained what Neo saw to hate Spock so much, something about his family being on the planet... and if Neo's ship was in that exact spot near the worm hole after killing off Kirk's father, why didn't the federation come and arrest the dude for the 10 or 25 or how ever many years he was sitting there waiting for Spock to come through? The writing needed a little work imho, but the special effects were top notch 8-)

;p It'd be pretty cool if you could professionally illustrate a book :XD:

I have to say, I found the King and the Penguins to be roughly 40% and 55% (respectively) of what I liked about that movie.

I want to go see Star Trek so bad! DX

And I haven't seen the new The Day the earth Stood Still, but the old one was pretty kickass.

And it would be awesome if you got to illustrate a book!
